What is Asthma?
Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.
There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:

The symptoms can sometimes get temporarily worse. This is known as an asthma attack.

Causes and triggers
Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) of the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. This makes the tubes highly sensitive, so they temporarily narrow.
It may occur randomly or after exposure to a trigger. Common asthma triggers include:

Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The following side effects may happen with this medicine:
Allergic Reactions (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
If you have an allergic reaction, stop taking Ventolin Evohaler and see a doctor straight away.
Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). This is usually harmless, and usually stops after you have used the medicine for a while. You may feel your heartbeat is uneven or it gives an extra beat, these may affect up to 1 in 10 people.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following side effects which may also happen with this medicine:

● Feeling shaky ● Headache
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
● Mouth and throat irritation ● Muscle cramps
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
● A low level of potassium in your blood ● Increased blood flow to your extremities (peripheral dilatation). ● Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people) ● Changes in sleep patterns and behaviour, such as restlessness and excitability

I was just a little nervous about ordering from this pharmacy. I was in a bit of a fog of a life and thought I'd do some research and post my experiences here in this forum. My main concern is that it's not safe to purchase from this pharmacy without a prescription from a doctor. I'm sure they won't do anything wrong as a result, but I'm also not sure how much I can safely buy from this pharmacy.
I went through my health insurance and have been prescribed albuterol for a few days now. I'm not sure whether the problem is my asthma or just the pharmacy. I'm a new user of Ventolin which I don't use. My insurance doesn't cover asthma and Ventolin does not work well. I've read online about the pharmacy I can buy at a local pharmacy and it's fine. But I'm wondering if any of you have any experiences where you find this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!
This is a personal post, but I'm not sure that a pharmacy is the best place to buy prescription medication. It's important to understand the risks associated with buying medications online. Hi, I was just about to start on the prescription. I took my Ventolin about a week ago. The symptoms were getting worse but I felt better after about 4 days. I've had side effects like this for the last week and my asthma is getting worse. I've been prescribed albuterol to help me get better for a week. I haven't used it, and I'm concerned it may cause side effects.

If you do get an appointment with your doctor, you can also do a urine test, and then a blood test to see if you are taking a steroid. If you're on other medications, you might want to talk to your pharmacist about alternatives to albuterol or another inhaler if needed.
Hi, I went to my doctor this morning and was having some very bad asthma symptoms. It took a few days to get to my appointment, but when I went to my appointment the symptoms were getting worse. I was getting very tired and my asthma was getting worse. I had a full-blown asthma attack in the past week and I didn't even know I had asthma until I came in. The doctor put me on albuterol and took me to an appointment. They suggested I take two tablets with each dose and see what happens. I just don't know how to take it, but the symptoms went away after about 7 days. I've had to take 2 puffs of Ventolin daily for about 2 weeks to keep the asthma from worsening. I have to use Ventolin 2 hours apart but I'm scared it might give me side effects like headaches, dizziness, nausea, and so on. I'm going to try to keep my dose of albuterol at 200 mcg, but if my asthma becomes worse or I have to use a stronger dose, then I'll just be a little hesitant. I can feel better within a couple of weeks of taking it, but I think I might be on a bit of a break. Thanks for any help.
I did have a little problem getting the asthma meds out of my system and I was having headaches, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, sleepiness, and insomnia for the last 6 months. I took the Ventolin daily and have been having to use a stronger dose of it. I was having headaches for the first week and then felt a little worse. The last day I tried the Ventolin, and it worked fine, but the headaches and dizziness became worse and I felt worse. I've had no side effects, but it seems to be a bit of a let-down. I'm a little scared of taking a stronger dose of albuterol, but I'd like to try it out anyway.
